The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is set to review a new proposal for renovations at 460 West Broadway, a five-story, ten-unit residential building in Soho, Manhattan. The project, prepared by DYO Design Office, outlines plans for a roof addition and interior renovations within one of the property’s units. The building was constructed in 1900 and is located between West Houston and Prince Streets.
Construction has topped out on 289 Hudson Street, a seven-story residential building in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by Ponte Equities, the 73-foot-tall structure will span 14,829 square feet and yield 15 rental units with an average scope of 688 square feet. There will also be 1,710 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the corner of Hudson and Spring Streets, directly across from the recently completed Disney headquarters at Four Hudson Square.
Construction is nearing completion on 7 Platt Street, a 464-foot-tall mixed-use building in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Moinian Group, the 37-story structure will span 250,000 square feet and yield 250 rental apartments in studio- to two-bedroom layouts, including penthouse residences with an accompanying penthouse lounge. The project will also include 43,740 square feet of retail space on the first five stories and 34 below-grade parking spaces. The property is alternately addressed as 110 John Street and located on an interior lot bounded by John Street to the north and Platt Street to the south.
Demolition is complete at 50-64 Third Avenue, the site of a forthcoming residential building in Manhattan’s East Village. Developed by Kinsmen Property Group, a joint venture between State Building Group and Madison Group, the new structure will have a maximum of buildable scope of 160,000 square feet. An architect and further details about the interior programming have yet to be disclosed. The 16,500-square-foot property is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 11th Street.
Construction is finished on 430 West Broadway, a seven-story commercial building in the Soho Cast Iron District. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by New Soho Associates, the 40,000-square-foot project was approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in early 2019 and yields office space and both ground-floor retail and community facility spaces. The property is located between Prince and Spring Streets.
