New Renderings Reveal $800 Million Renovation of Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, Queens

Renderings have been revealed for proposed renovations to Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, Queens. Led by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and designed by ROSETTI, the $800 million undertaking will modernize the main venue of the US Open Tennis Championships and introduce the new Player Performance Center. The project will be entirely self funded by the USTA. The stadium is located within the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, which is bounded by Meridian Road to the north and west and Flushing Meadows Corona Park to the south and east.

Housing Lottery Launches for 35-15 146th Street in Flushing, Queens

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 35-15 146th Street, an eight-story residential building in Flushing, Queens. Designed by Michael Kang Architect, the structure yields 36 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 16 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $71,726 to $227,500.

33-33 Prince Street Nears Completion in Flushing, Queens

Construction is nearing completion on 33-33 Prince Street, a four-story mixed-use building in Flushing, Queens. Designed by My Architect PC for Prince Real Estate LLC, the 55-foot-tall structure will yield 16,403 square feet of commercial and manufacturing space, according to zoning diagrams. The building will also contain a cellar level and a 20-foot-wide rear yard above the first level. The property is located on an interior lot between 33rd Avenue to the north and 35th Avenue to the south.

The Northern Tower Wraps Up Construction At 35-32 Leavitt Strteet in Flushing, Queens

Construction is coming to a close on the Northern Tower, a 13-story hotel and residential building at 35-32 Leavitt Street in Flushing, Queens. Designed by Raymond Chan Architect and developed by Century Development Group, which signed an agreement in late 2016 with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, the 152-foot-tall mixed-use structure will span 228,000 square feet, with around 101,000 square feet for a 244-room Westin hotel, 2,270 square feet for community facility use, and 42,100 square feet of residential space. The residential component comprise 49 condominium units on the top three floors. The property is alternately addressed as 137-61 Northern Boulevard and located at the corner of Northern Boulevard and Leavitt Street.

The Prince Wraps Up Construction at 134-03 35th Avenue in Flushing, Queens

Work is wrapping up on The Prince, a 15-story residential building at 134-03 35th Avenue in Flushing, Queens. Designed by My Architect PC and developed by United Construction Development Group, the structure will yield 120 condominium units in one- to two-bedroom layouts. C&G Empire Realty, LLC is listed as the owner of the property, which is alternately addressed as 33-71 Prince Street and located at the corner of 35th Avenue and Prince Street.

Renderings Revealed for Apartments and H-Mart at 144-74 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, Queens

The Queens neighborhood of Flushing is in for yet another new development at 144-74 Northern Boulevard, where a seven-story apartment complex with 100 residential units and ground-floor retail will soon rise. Sabre Real Estate Group is the developer of the project, and Ismael Leyva Architects is the designer. YIMBY first reported on the site when applications were filed late last year, and today, we have the first renderings.

Updated Permits Filed for 32-29 Linden Place, Flushing, Queens

Latimer and Linden Management Corporation has filed updated plans for a 92-unit residential tower in Flushing, Queens. Located at 32-29 Linden Place, the corner property was sold to the developer in 2014 for $5.25 million and will soon break ground.

The site is five blocks from the Main Street subway station, end of the line for 7 trains, and four blocks from the LIRR train station. ZT Sanford Realty is listed as behind the applications.

Permits filed detail a new, 17-story mixed-use structure coming to Flushing, Queens. Located at 144-49 Northern Boulevard, plans also include the demolition of a neighboring two-story commercial building, which was scheduled to begin on April 12, 2018.

Permits were filed during late January for a nine-story mixed-use building at 132-27 41^st Road in Flushing, Queens. Today, YIMBY has a first look at the design of “Century Tower”, thanks to the developers, NY Excelsior Development. The renderings show a clean minimalist façade with fourteen balconies, and two outdoor terraces on the rooftop, divided by a brick wall. The façade will be composed of traditional brick, with terracotta feature panels covering a fifth of the building’s front. The ground floor will have aluminum frames around separate entrances for residents and the medical offices.
