Excavation and early foundation work are underway at 133-09 37th Avenue, the site of a 17-story mixed-use building in Flushing, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed under the Century Square LLC, the 192-foot-tall structure will span 173,344 square feet, with 101,418 square feet designated for commercial space, 71,589 square feet for residential space, and 337 square feet for community facility space. The building will yield 102 rental units averaging 701 square feet, as well as a cellar level, two loading berths, and 313 enclosed parking spaces. The site is bound by 36th Road to the north, 37th Avenue to the south, College Point Boulevard to the west, and a separate adjacent residential and hotel construction project at 133-25 37th Avenue to the east.
