Two Manhattan West Nears Topping Out in Midtown West, Manhattan

Construction is nearing topping out on Two Manhattan West, a 58-story commercial skyscraper in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield, the 935-foot-tall tower will yield two million square feet of office space directly to the south of its 996-foot-high fraternal twin, One Manhattan West. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of West 31st Street and Ninth Avenue. Brookfield is aiming for LEED Gold certification.

555 West 38th Street Nears Completion in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

555 West 38th Street stands topped out as a 570-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. Developed by Rockrose and designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects with SLCE as the architect of record, the 52-story reinforced concrete structure will yield a total of 598 rental units. Site C GC LLC is stated on the construction board as the general contractor for the project, which is located along Eleventh Avenue between West 38th Street and West 39th Street, and sits directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center.

Financing Secured for 550 Tenth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

The closing of construction financing was announced for a new 47-story mixed-use residential development at 550 Tenth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen. The project is developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV in a joint venture equity partnership, with Wells Fargo and US Bank providing a $212 million construction loan, and Lionheart Strategic Management providing $35 million in mezzanine financing.

The Irish Arts Center Debuts at 726 Eleventh Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

The Irish Arts Center debuts this season, bringing a mix of live performance, community programming, and educational events to Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Located at 726 Eleventh Avenue, the center’s new home comprises 21,700 square feet with an inaugural first season arriving this December.

Permits Filed for a Two-Tower Development at 495 11th Avenue in Midtown West, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for 495 Eleventh Avenue, a pair of mixed-use residential skyscrapers atop of a five-story podium in Midtown West, Manhattan. Located between West 39th and 40th Streets, the two towers will stand 680 feet tall and 57 stories, and 653 feet tall and 56 stories. NYC Economic Development Corporation is listed as the owner behind the applications.
