Self-Storage Building Coming to 4275 Old Amboy Road, Staten Island

An LLC has filed construction permits for a planned three-story, 30,810 square-foot commercial self-storage building at the vacant lot at 4275 Old Amboy Road, in central Great Kills. Tamar Kisilevitz, of Scarano Architect, is the architect of record, and the site’s former single-story warehouse was demolished last September.

Property owner Vincent Cicala has filed applications for two three-story, two-family residential buildings at the vacant lots spanning 251-255 Detroit Avenue, in the Annadale section of Staten Island. The four units will span nearly 4,800 square feet of residential space, and Chris Ponisi is the architect of record.


145 Arthur Avenue

Two-Home Development Planned at 145 Arthur Avenue, Staten Island

Joseph Sarcona has filed applications for twin two-story, single-family homes — each measuring 2,100 square feet — spanning the lots 143-145 Arthur Avenue, in Arrochar, located just south of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge on Staten Island. Dennis Dellandelo is the architect of record, an the site’s former two-story abode was demolished this past January.

URL Staten Island’s First Phase Tops Out, Includes 571 Residential Units

The New York Times recently noticed Ironstate’s URL Staten Island — located on the Stapleton’s waterfront, the first phase to include 571 residential units and 35,000 square feet of retail space — has made significant progress in construction. Revealed by YIMBY in 2014, multiple buildings have topped-out at five stories, and roughly half of the retail space is already leased. Completion of the first phase is expected later this year.
