At the beginning of August, the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency voted to approve financial incentives for a pair of affordable senior housing projects around the city. Together, the projects represent a $22.4 million investment and will support over 170 apartments for low-income seniors.
The Community Lending and Investment division of Wells Fargo has reached a new milestone, $780.3 million in construction financing for affordable housing projects in New York City and Westchester County. The figure represents five loans, all closed in June 2023, the company’s largest-ever half-cycle allocation.

Maynooth Holdings has won approvals to construct a mixed-use rental building at 132 Halstead Avenue in Westchester County. When complete, the four-story building in Harrison will contain a mix of ground-floor commercial space, a parking garage, 12 apartments, and a small collection of amenities.
Guiding Eyes for the Blind has closed on a 12-acre development site at 3241 Crompond Road in Yorktown Heights, where the non-profit intends to construct a 30,000-square-foot school and kennel for guide dogs and companion animals. With operations in northern Westchester County, the organization connects vision-impaired people with animals to support their journey to greater independence.
