Renderings Released For Resorts World Casino Expansion Proposal in Ozone Park, Queens

New renderings have been revealed for an extensive proposed expansion of the Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) casino complex at the Aqueduct Race Track in South Ozone Park, Queens. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the estimated $5 billion project would add 350,000 square feet of gaming space, a 1,600-room Crockfords-branded hotel, a 7,000-seat arena, wellness amenities, restaurants, and more than 10 acres of parks, trails, and bike paths. The existing complex spans 1 million square feet with 400 guest rooms and around 6,500 slot machines, and is bound by Rockaway Boulevard to the north, the Belt Parkway to the south, 114th Street to the east, and Aqueduct Road to the west.

Construction is reaching the finish line on 145 Perry Street, a four-story private mansion in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by Leroy Street Studio with Robert Silman Associates as the structural engineer, the structure will yield 30,000 square feet. Edmund Hollander Design is the landscape architect and Sciame Construction is the construction manager for the property, which is alternately addressed as 703-711 Washington Street and located at the corner of Perry and Washington Streets.

125 Barclay Street’s Re-Cladding Nears Completion in Tribeca, Manhattan

Façade installation is wrapping up on 125 Barclay Street, an 11-story commercial building in Tribeca, Manhattan. Designed by Switzer Group and developed by District Council 37 (DC37), the project involves the renovation and re-cladding of the 92-year-old former World Telegram Building and the construction of an additional floor above its parapet, and will yield 264,700 square feet of office space. Lilker Associates is the MEP and FP engineer and Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Murray Street to the north, Barclay Street to the south, and West Street to the west.

LPC Reviews Proposal for Renovations to QC NY Spa Buildings on Governors Island

The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission is reviewing a proposal to renovate two buildings on Governors Island. Designed by Robert D. Henry Architects, the project involves the construction of new ADA entryways and poolside lighting fixtures for the property, which is operated by QC NY Spa. The structures, referred to in the proposal as Buildings 111 and 114, are located at 111 Andes Road and 114 Governors Island, adjacent to Soissons Landing and the ferry to Manhattan.
