The new glass curtain wall continues to rise up the sides of 660 Fifth Avenue, a 39-story commercial building in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Brookfield Properties, the project involves interior renovations and the complete re-cladding of the 1957 office tower originally designed by Carson & Lundin. The 1.25 million-square-foot property is located along Fifth Avenue between West 52nd and 53rd Streets and was formerly addressed as 666 Fifth Avenue.
Construction is now underway at 49 Fisk Street, a new 337-unit rental property in Jersey City. Halpern Real Estate Ventures, the developer of the property, was joined by Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and local officials on November 1 to celebrate the commencement of construction.

Designed by Aufgang Architects, the structure yields 191 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 102 units for residents at 50 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $28,835 to $167,570.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 2187 Ryer Avenue in Fordham Heights, The Bronx. Located between East 181st Street and East 182nd Street, the lot is one block from the 182nd-183rd Streets subway station, serviced by the B train. Mendy Tessler is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction has topped out on 450 Eleventh Avenue, a 51-story Aloft Hotel in Hudson Yards. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, the 642-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 379 guest rooms as well as a business center, a ballroom, and a fourth-floor restaurant and bar with an outdoor terrace. Atria Builders LLC is the general contractor for the Midtown, Manhattan property, which is located at the corner of West 37th Street and Eleventh Avenue, directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center. Construction is expected to cost around $368 million.
