The Yonkers Planning Board has granted approvals to Ginsburg Development Companies to construct a new multifamily rental property at 150 Downing Street in Yonkers. Known as Ludlow Point, the development will include 208 apartments, a collection of amenity spaces, and 229 parking spaces.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 1024 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located between Freeman Street and Green Street, the lot is five blocks north of the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Witold Brend under the Marria LLC, Matta LLC, Mettis LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 30-41 31st Street, a six-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by T.F. Cusanelli and Filletti Architects and developed by Rados Realty, the structure yields nine residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $88,800 to $187,330.
Work is nearing completion on the Fifth Avenue Hotel at 1 West 28th Street in NoMad. Designed by Perkins Eastman, PBDW Architects, and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and developed by Flaneur Hospitality, the project consists of a new 24-story, 230-foot-tall tower and the restoration and hotel conversion of the adjacent five-story McKim, Mead & White-designed structure. CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 250 Fifth Avenue and is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 28th Street.
The Museum of Jewish Heritage is currently reviewing plans to build a new genealogy research center at its facility at 36 Battery Place in Battery Park City. Named the Peter and Mary Kalikow Genealogy Research Center, the waterfront expansion will provide visitors with Jewish genealogy resources through JewishGen, a non-profit organization and affiliate of the museum.
