New Rendering Revealed for Office Supertall at 360 Tenth Avenue in Midtown West, Manhattan

A new rendering has been revealed for 360 Tenth Avenue, a proposed supertall commercial skyscraper in Midtown West, Manhattan. The structure will yield 1 million square feet of Class A office space. McCourt Global is the current owner of the property, which is situated between Brookfield Properties‘ Manhattan West complex and Related Companies‘ first phase of Hudson Yards, and bound by West 31st Street to the north, Dyer Avenue and West 30th Street to the south, and Tenth Avenue to the west.

Façade Installation Begins for KPF’s 520 Fifth Avenue Supertall in Midtown, Manhattan

Façade installation has begun on 520 Fifth Avenue, a rising 76-story residential supertall in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, which took over from Ceruzzi Properties and SMI USA in 2019, the 1,000-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 415,000 square feet with 98 condominium units, as well as commercial space on the lower floors and four cellar levels. Charles & Co. is going to be the interior designer, WSP is the structural engineer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant, and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

JPMorgan Chase’s Headquarters Approaches Supertall Status at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is climbing higher on JPMorgan Chase‘s 1,388-foot supertall headquarters at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners with Adamsom Associates as the architect of record and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 60-story skyscraper will yield 2.5 million square feet of office space with a capacity of 15,000 employees, and will become the tallest structure in New York completely powered by hydroelectric energy. JB&B is the MEP engineer and AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the full-block property, which is bound by East 48th Street to the north, East 47th Street to the south, Park Avenue to the east, and Madison Avenue to the west.

Demolition Nears Completion for PENN15 Supertall at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition is progressing toward street level on the Hotel Pennsylvania, which is being razed to make way for PENN15, a 1,200-foot commercial supertall at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the 56-story skyscraper will yield 2.7 million square feet of office space and will stand as the centerpiece of the massive 7.4-million-square-foot Penn District master plan. Northstar Contracting Group is the demolition contractor for the Hotel Pennsylvania, which is located along Seventh Avenue between West 32nd and 33rd Streets.
