Permits have been filed for a 13-story hotel at 38-39 9th Street, in Long Island City, Queens. The site is seven blocks away from the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station, serviced by the F trains and the first stop in Queens. Hotel mogul Sam Chang will be responsible for the development.
The 129-foot tall structure will yield 123,650 square feet, with 111,630 square feet dedicated to commercial use. The establishment will have 324 guest rooms, averaging 345 square feet apiece. Visitors will have access to parking bicycle storage, a lobby, and fitness center. Each floor will have 27 rooms.
Gene Kaufman Architect will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits have not yet been filed for the single-story structure. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
