Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 558 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Located between Nevins Street and Third Avenue, the lot is two blocks from the Union Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Abe Lipton is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 22,953 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 34 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 675 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 14 enclosed parking spaces.
Baobab Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
