The eighth-tallest building on our year-end construction countdown is 520 Fifth Avenue, a 1,002-foot mixed-use supertall skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, the 88-story structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units and 25 floors of boutique office space. The project will also include ground-floor retail and an extensive collection of amenities. The property is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

A joint venture has closed on financing for the construction of 570 Eldert Lane, a 213-unit affordable housing development located in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. The team, which is a collaboration between Slate Property Group, Thorobird Companies LLC, and Bangladeshi American Community Development & Youth Services (BACDYS), will demolish the existing parking lot on the site to make way for the new property. The project has been designed by Urban Quotient. The site is located between Glenmore and Pitkin Avenues.

At number nine on our annual countdown of the 31 tallest buildings under construction in New York is 262 Fifth Avenue, an 860-foot-tall residential skyscraper in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development, the 56-story structure will yield 26 full-floor and duplex condominium units with an average scope of 3,200 square feet, including at least one quadruplex unit. SLCE Architects is the executive architect for the property, which is located at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.
