New renderings have been released for the Broome Street Development at 55 Suffolk Street and 64 Norfolk Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Compromised of two mixed-use buildings spanning an estimated total of 387,223 square feet, components include the headquarters for the Chinese-American Planning Council, the Beth Hamedrash Hagodol synagogue, 488 rental housing units with 43% of units specified as permanently affordable, and retail. Gotham Organization is listed as the owner behind the applications filed earlier this year with Dattner Architects as the architect of record.
Permits have been filed for a 16-story mixed-use building at 64 Norfolk Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side as part of the Broome Street Development, which is compromised of two mixed-use buildings spanning an estimated total of 387,223 square feet. Gotham Organization is listed as the owner behind the applications, and filed permits for 55 Suffolk Street last month. Gotham is coordinating administratively with the Department of Building to establish the BIN for the Suffolk Building.
Permits have been filed for a 30-story mixed-use building at 60 Norfolk Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Located at the intersection of Broome Street and Norfolk Street, the interior lot is across the street from the Essex Crossing project. Nearby is the Delancey Street subway station, serviced by the F, M, J, and Z trains. Gotham Organization is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for two major new towers at 57-28 2nd Street and 1-15 57th Avenue in Hunters Point South. The two proposed, glass residential buildings are being designed by Handel Architects and will sit at the intersection of 57th Avenue and 2nd Street. The sites are located in Long Island City by the Hunters Point South ferry terminal. Both towers are being developed by Gotham and Riseboro Community Partnership.
