Exterior work is moving along at Beckford Tower and Beckford House, a pair of residential buildings in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Workers are installing the final sections of Brynne Brownstone and Indiana Limestone on Beckford House, located at 301 East 81st Street, also addressed as 1562 Second Avenue, and Beckford Tower at 301 East 80th Street. The project is designed by Studio Sofield and SLCE Architects and is being developed by Icon Realty Management. CM & Associates is in charge of construction management.

Permits have been filed for a 22-story mixed-use building at 1695 Second Avenue in Yorkville, Manhattan. Located between East 87th Street and East 88th Street, the lot is two blocks north of the 86th Street subway station, serviced by the Q train. James Huang of Aimco is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Developer The Engel Burman Group returns this week with a newly revealed rendering of 1622 York Avenue in Yorkville, Manhattan. The forthcoming assisted living development will eventually top out at 14 stories and will comprise just under 102,000 square feet.
New York-based ODA Architecture has revealed another playfully designed residential building, at 310 East 86th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Reminiscent of the firm’s previous commissions, which are characterized by expressive cubic design language, this new development features a series of boxy setbacks and graceful cantilevers that incorporate private outdoor spaces on the upper levels.
