Rendering Revealed for 322 West 15th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

A new rendering was recently revealed for 322 West 15th Street, a forthcoming six-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by ZArchitecture and developed by Saffyeh Group, who purchased the site for $19 million in May, demolition permits were recently filed for the future structure, which would replace the former Corlears School facility that willbe fully torn down. The property is comprised of three abutting parcels that are located mid-block between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. A number of condominium units was not disclosed.

Construction stands topped out at 35 West 14th Street, a 12-story mixed-use residential building in on the border of Chelsea and Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Studio C Architects and developed by Nexus Development, the 125-foot-tall structure will yield 48 condominium units along with ground-floor retail space. The project site consists of an interior lot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

Chelsea Beacon Begins Construction at 550 West 20th Street In Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is underway on Chelsea Beacon, a residential conversion and expansion of the former Bayview Correctional Facility at 550 West 20th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by Camber Property Group and the Osborne Association, the project will involve the construction of an addition within the existing structure’s inner courtyard that will extend seven stories above the current roofline. The $167 million development will yield 131 permanently affordable apartments, including at least 79 supportive housing units, as well as a 15-bed short-term transitional residence program and community facility space.
