Work Resumes on Sir David Adjaye’s Studio Museum of Harlem at 144 West 125th Street in Harlem, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on The Studio Museum of Harlem, a new six-story home for the cultural institution at 144 West 125th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Sir David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates with Cooper Robertson & Partners as the architect of record, the 82,000-square-foot structure will feature expanded gallery and exhibition space for more than 2,000 objects, multiple lecture halls, a roof deck, a café, and retail space. Sciame Construction LLC and McKissack & McKissack are the construction managers for the property, which is situated on an interior lot between Malcolm X Boulevard to the east and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard to the west.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 251 West 117th Street, a 13-story mixed-use building in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Gerner, Kronick + Valcarcel Architecture and developed by Artimus Construction, the structure yields 104 residences and 42 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $79,235 to $146,900.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for 101 Macombs Place in Harlem, Manhattan

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 101 Macombs Place, a seven-story residential building in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architect with YossiG and developed by Mordechai Hirsch, the structure yields 29 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are nine units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $93,909 to $198,250. New tenants get one month of free rent.

Taconic Partners Launches Leasing for 121 West 125th Street in Harlem

Leasing has officially launched for 121 West 125th Street, a new mixed-use development that will house National Urban League’s new headquarters and New York City’s first civil rights museum, and 90,000 square feet of office space. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Taconic Partners, L+M Development Partners, BRP Companies, and The Prusik Group, the block-through structure is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood. Newmark’s Chris Mongeluzo is the exclusive realtor for the office space, which includes the entire fifth and sixth floors with private outdoor space and a separate office lobby.
