Facade Installation Begins on 99 Hudson Street, Jersey City

Jersey City‘s soon-to-be-tallest skyscraper at 99 Hudson Street has had a fairly speedy rise into the skyline following its ground-breaking back in January of 2016. YIMBY last checked in on the project in August of last year, when foundation work had just begun, and since then, the building has sprouted well above ground. Now, the tower is rising above the garage and retail portion, and facade installation has also begun.

Another 52-Story Tower Set to Rise in Jersey City at 25 Columbus Drive

Jersey City’s boom only seems to be getting more impressive as the year goes on, and now another tower is set to rise on the city’s skyline, at 25 Columbus Drive. The 52-story building will be designed by Handel Architects and developed by L+M Development Partners, and will have 750 rental apartments, a 35,000 square-foot school, four storefronts covering 16,485 square feet of retail space, and a public plaza, according to Jersey Digs. No completion date has been announced yet.

Reveal for 560-580 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City

Jersey City’s ongoing boom will give its skyline new tallest towers along the waterfront, and eventually out in Journal Square as well. While those projects may be the most high-profile, a collection of other skyscrapers are rising in tandem across the rest of the city, and now, Jersey is set to get its own architectural equivalent of Manhattan’s Silver Towers, as proposed for 560-580 Marin Boulevard. According to Jersey Digs, the project will have 750 apartments, as well as 240,000 square feet of non-residential square footage, alongside a 1,098-space parking garage. The proposal has already received most of its necessary approvals, and the site is currently occupied by parking lots and a four-story warehouse, which will soon be demolished.
