99 Hudson Street Is Now the Tallest Skyscraper In Jersey City and New Jersey

With several more floors left to add, Jersey City’s 99 Hudson Street is almost at its final pinnacle 900 feet above street level. While the crown remains to be completed, it has now officially surpassed 30 Hudson Street, the 781-foot home of Goldman Sachs two blocks to the south, which has held the title of the tallest skyscraper in New Jersey since its completion in 2004.

Leasing Begins at Quinn, 153-Unit Rental at 197 Van Vorst Street In Jersey City’s Paulus Hook

Located at 197 Van Vorst Street in Jersey City, at the southwest intersection of Morris Street and Van Vorst Street in the Paulus Hook neighborhood, a new 16-story residential mid-rise is under construction and just began leasing its 153 units. Field Development Group is behind the project, the same firm that successfully completed the Lenox, directly across the street to the north. Marchetto Higgins Stieve is the designer and Bozzuto is the property manager for the building, which has been dubbed “Quinn”.

Rendering Revealed, Ground Broken for BelovED Community Charter School in Jersey City

Last week, ground was broken on the site of a new Jersey City school. BelovED Community Charter School is building a new middle school at 535 Grand Street. The organization, currently serving 960 students, is named to honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision for a “Beloved Community.” New Jersey Community Capital and Provident Bank have given $12.5 million for construction financing of the project. Friends 2 and Hollister Construction Services are responsible for the development.
