LPC to Review Façade Renovation Proposal for 43 Bleecker Street In Noho, Manhattan

The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is set to review a proposal to modify the six-story building at 43 Bleecker Street in Noho, Manhattan. Assembled by ADB Associates, the application includes plans for window replacement and selective façade restoration as part of a selective restoration. Built around 1896, the property is located between Lafayette Street and Bowery within the Noho Historic District Extension.

Permits Filed for 298 Bowery in Noho, Manhattan

Permits have been filed to expand a four-story structure into a 12-story mixed-use building at 298 Bowery in Noho, Manhattan. Located between East Houston Street and Bleecker Street, the lot is two blocks west of the Second Avenue subway station, served by the F train. Paul Yam is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission is set to review a proposal for renovations to 27-29 Great Jones Street in NoHo, Manhattan. The application, submitted by Atelier García, aims to replace the building’s existing storefronts and enhance the ground-level façade. The property is located between Bowery and Lafayette Street.

360 Bowery Office Tower Tops Out Over Noho, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 360 Bowery, a 22-story commercial building in Noho, Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by AECOM-Canyon Partners under the ACEF-CBSKI 360 Bowery LLC, the 275-foot-tall structure will yield 112,617 square feet with 72,151 square feet of office space, 26,637 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar. SK Development of CBSK Ironstate are the owners, Ancora Engineering was the engineer of record for the excavation, and CM & Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Bowery and East 4th Street.

40 Bleecker Street Stands Completed in NoHo, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 40 Bleecker Street, a 12-story residential building at the corner of Mulberry and Bleecker Streets in NoHo. Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, the property yields 61 one- to five-bedroom units with interiors designed by Ryan Korban. Sales and marketing are being led by Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing: New York fame, as well as John Gomes and Sarah Burke of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Edmund Hollander Design is carrying out the landscaping for the private outdoor terraces and the 5,600-square-foot rear courtyard.

City Proposals to Rezone SoHo and NoHo Under Further Review in Environmental Assessment Statement

An Environmental Assessment Statement released by the NYC Department of City Planning reveals how proposals to rezone Manhattan’s SoHo and NoHo neighborhoods could permanently alter the area. The actions aim to expand allowable residential density for multifamily buildings, spur the construction of income-restricted and permanently affordable housing, and increase available community facilities. If approved, the upzone could spur the development of more than 3,200 new apartment units, 108,000 gross square feet of retail space, and 35,000 square feet of community facilities. Estimates for residential development include up to 940 affordable apartment units.
