DXA Studio will soon present its proposal for a new five-story residential building in Brooklyn’s Stuyvesant Heights Historic District. Located at 375 Stuyvesant Avenue, the corner lot is positioned immediately behind a historic mansion originally constructed between 1914 and 1915.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 596 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is one lot away from the Metropolitan Avenue subway station, serviced by the G and L trains. Joel Schwartz of Southside Units is behind the applications.

The site is five blocks away from the Flatbush avenue subway station, end of the line for 2 and 5 trains and commercial epicenter for the area. Ascher Berkowitz of Big Dream Developers will be responsible for the development.
The City Council has unanimously approved the controversial 80 Flatbush project in Boerum Hill after a reduction in size and scale. While the drop in density is not ideal, the the buildings will still be a large player for the housing market and community at large, and will punctuate the neighborhood’s skyline with two new towers that appear both prominent and promising in terms of design.
On Wednesday, September 26th, a new, permanently affordable housing block will break ground in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood. Located on a corner lot at 3 Livonia Avenue, “Edwin’s Place” is designed by renowned American architect Robert A.M. Stern for non-profit developer Breaking Ground and the African American Planning Commission.
