NY Kids Club has signed a lease for 3,700 square feet of retail space at 655 Union Street, a mixed-use building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by L+Z Architecture and developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the 13-story building yields 193 units and 14,800 square feet of retail space, the latter of which is now more than 50 percent leased. NY Kids Club’s new flagship location will open in September 2025.
NY Kids Club, an early childhood education and enrichment center, is relocating from its current Park Slope location on 5th Avenue to 655 Union Street. The new space will feature two classrooms, a sensory play gym with a 15-foot-tall rock climbing wall and a 20-foot-long trampoline, and family gathering areas. It plans to serve families from surrounding neighborhoods, including Gowanus, Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, and Boerum Hill.
Units at 655 Union are offered in one- and two-bedroom configurations. Amenities include a landscaped rooftop terrace with a 25-yard pool, a fitness center, a media room, and a private dining room. Additionally, residents have access to concierge services for reservations, dog walking, cleaning, and other personalized needs.
Transit nearby the property includes the Union Street subway station, served by the R train.
