A new rendering has been released for 450 Eleventh Avenue, a 487-foot-tall hotel tower by Marx Development Groups in Hudson Yards. The redesign appears to be a much taller and features a more lively architectural scheme than the previous rendering from last month. Designed by DSM Design Group, the structure will contain a 531-room hotel from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Permits have been filed for a two-tower, 39-story residential building at 71-12 Park Avenue in Flushing, Queens. Located between 71st Avenue and 160th Street, the through lot is closest to the Kew Gardens LIRR station. David Marx of MDG Real Estate is listed as the owner behind the applications.

With new construction permits filed last summer and demolition filings nearly a year ago, the site of 450 Eleventh Avenue is beginning to see some change. The existing low-rise buildings on the location are nearly gone as the lot gets cleared to make way for the upcoming ground-up 43-story hotel. Located across from the Jacob K. Yet another new high-rise is officially about to begin rising in Hudson Yards. Permits have been filed for a 43-story hotel at 450 Eleventh Avenue, across from the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and West 37th Street. The 34th Street Hudson Yards subway station is four blocks away. Atria Builders is responsible for the permit filings, and Flushing-based Marx Development Groups will be responsible for the development.
