Façade installation is nearing completion on One Madison Avenue, a 27-story commercial building in the Flatiron District. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by SL Green, the National Pension Service of Korea, and Hines, the project involves the gut renovation of an existing eight-story structure and the construction of a 19-story glass-clad addition above its roof parapet, and will yield 1.4 million square feet of office space and ground-floor retail. NYC Constructors is building the expansion and AECOM Tishman is the construction manager for the property, which occupies a full city block at the southeast corner of Madison Square Park between Madison Avenue, Park Avenue South, East 23rd Street, and East 24th Street.

Flatiron House Wraps Up Construction at 39 West 23rd Street in Flatiron District, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on Flatiron House, a 25-story two-tower residential development at 39 West 23rd Street in the Flatiron District. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Anbau Enterprises, the 325-foot-tall structure yields 44 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. Flatiron House’s taller component is called the Tower and features 37 one- to four-bedroom homes with an entrance facing West 23rd Street; the shorter volume is dubbed the Loft and comes with seven one- to five-bedroom residences and a separate entrance to the north along West 24th Street. Ryder Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

One Madison Avenue’s Concrete Core Begins Ascent in Flatiron District, Manhattan

Construction is set to begin on the new floors at One Madison Avenue, a 27-story office tower expansion in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox for SL Green, the project involves the gut renovation of the existing eight-story building and structural addition above its roof level, bringing the structure up to 1.4 million square feet of Class A office space. The National Pension Service of Korea and Hines are also part of the development team and acquired $1.25 billion in construction financing for the property, which occupies a full block bound by East 23rd and 24th Streets and Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South.
