‘Louie’ Tops Out at 21 West 17th Street and 16 West 18th Street in Flatiron District, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on Louie, a two-building residential development at 21 West 17th Street and 16 West 18th Street in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and Li Saltzman Architects and developed by Vinbaytel Development, the complex will yield 21 full-floor condominium units, all in three-bedroom layouts. The properties are located on a narrow interior lot between West 17th and West 18th Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

One Madison Avenue Wraps Up Construction in Flatiron District, Manhattan

Work is nearing completion on One Madison Avenue, a 27-story commercial building in the Flatiron District. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by SL Green, the National Pension Service of Korea, and Hines, the project involves the gut renovation of an existing eight-story structure and the construction of a new 19-story glass-clad addition above the original roof parapet, and will yield 1.4 million square feet of office space and ground-floor retail space. The property occupies a full city block at the southeast corner of Madison Square Park between Madison Avenue, Park Avenue South, East 23rd Street, and East 24th Street.

Located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, the lot is near the 14 Street-Union Square subway station, serviced by the 4, 5, 6, L, N, R, Q, and W trains. James Treacy of Anbau is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Construction is nearing completion on a Cube Smart self storage facility at 41-47 East 21st Street in the Flatiron District. Developed by Mequity Companies, which purchased the property from The Zucker Organization for $32.3 million in March 2019, the project involves the conversion of a four-story, 50,000-square-foot parking garage into a storage facility. Equity E. 21st Owner LLC is the owner and Park East Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue.

Historic Flatiron Building Goes Up For Auction Today in Manhattan

A new chapter in the storied history of the Flatiron Building is set to unfold today as the New York City landmark goes up for sale at a public auction. Designed by Daniel Burnham completed in 1902 as the Fuller Building, the structure quickly became an emblem of New York with its ornate Renaissance Revival flourishes and prominent wedge-shaped design formed by the confluence of Broadway and Fifth Avenue.

Flatiron House Wraps Up Construction at 39 West 23rd Street in Flatiron District, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on Flatiron House, a 25-story two-tower residential development at 39 West 23rd Street in the Flatiron District. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Anbau Enterprises, the 325-foot-tall structure yields 44 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. Flatiron House’s taller component is called the Tower and features 37 one- to four-bedroom homes with an entrance facing West 23rd Street; the shorter volume is dubbed the Loft and comes with seven one- to five-bedroom residences and a separate entrance to the north along West 24th Street. Ryder Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
