LPC Reviews Updated Proposals to Renovate and Redevelop the Episcopal St. James Church in Fordham, The Bronx

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is now reviewing updated proposals to renovate the landmarked Episcopal St. James Church and redevelop the parish’s campus at 2500 Jerome Avenue in the Fordham section of The Bronx. The updates arrive as an attempt to strengthen the dialogue between the religious structure and the proposed residential building.

Starling Architecture Returns With New Renderings Of A Waterfront Venue In Brooklyn Bridge Park

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) will again review proposals to construct a new seasonal venue space on the Fulton Ferry Landing Pier in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The project was originally proposed at a hearing in April 2019, where LPC expressed concerns that the building would obstruct views of the surrounding historic waterfront and downtown Manhattan. The design team, led by Starling Architecture, was also asked to replace the white exterior elements with with brown and other dark colors.

Loro Piana Seeks Approvals for Renovations at 3 Ninth Avenue in the Meatpacking District

The Landmarks Preservation Commission recently reviewed applications for an exterior renovation of a 19th century rowhouse and stable building in Manhattan’s historic Meatpacking District. The neighboring structures are located at 49 and 51 Gansevoort Street and will serve as a flagship location for luxury retailer Loro Piana. Together, the properties will share the address 3 Ninth Avenue.
