Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for Arthur Avenue Senior Apartments in Tremont, The Bronx

The affordable housing lottery is now open for Arthur Avenue Senior Apartments, a nine-story senior living development at 600 East 179th Street in Tremont, The Bronx. Developed by Foxy Management in partnership with Hebrew Home at Riverdale under HPD’s Senior Affordable Rental Apartments program, the 130,000-square-foot building is designed by SLCE Architects and will yield a total 176 units in a mix of studios and one-bedroom units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 122 apartments for senior residents at 30 and 50 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $0 to $51,200.

Excavation Underway at 141 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Excavation is underway at 141 Willoughby Street, the site of a 24-story mixed-use building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and Fogarty Finger Architecture and developed by Savanna Real Estate, the project will yield a mix of office and retail space. The trapezoidal site is bound by Flatbush Avenue to the east, Willoughby Street to the south, and Gold Street to the west. The parcel was once the site of the Institute of Design and Construction, which was demolished last year.

Phase Three of Provost Square Set for Excavation at 151 Bay Street in Jersey City

Excavation could begin soon at 151 Bay Street, the site of a 33-story mixed-use tower that will make up the third phase of Jersey City’s Provost Square complex. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Toll Brothers, the project will integrate part of the façade of the former A&P Annex Building, which has been stripped down to its concrete frame. The new structure will rise at the corner of Provost Street and Bay Street and yield 259 residential units, 6,289 square feet of retail space, and a parking garage with 218 spaces. Twelve units are to be designated as live-work units, with one for an artist in residence.

Affordable Housing Lottery Opens for 214 Apartments at Nehemiah Spring Creek, in East New York

The housing lottery is now open for Nehemiah Spring Creek, two separate residential developments in East New York, Brooklyn. Developed by Nehemiah Housing Development Fund Company, a non-profit housing affiliate for East Brooklyn Congregations in partnership with Monadnock Development, the buildings in this phase yield a total 214 rentals in a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are the 214 apartments for residents with an eligible income between $18,618 to $126,900, ranging from 30 to 90 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). The structures are part of a 45-acre development plan that brings a mix of retail, affordable apartment rentals, and townhouse home ownership.
