Construction has yet to commence at 200 Douglass Street, the site of a proposed 22-story residential tower in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Midwood Investment & Development, the 225-foot-tall structure will span 300,000 square feet and yield 270 rental units with an average scope of 750 square feet. The development will also include 19,000 square feet of retail space and 42 enclosed parking spaces. The property is bound by Douglass Street to the north, DeGraw Street to the south, and Bond Street to the west.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Society Brooklyn at DeGraw, a 21-story residential building at 500 Degraw Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE and developed by PMG & Carlyle, the structure yields 344 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 88 units for residents at 40 to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $33,086 to $167,700.

New York Kids Club Signs Lease for Flagship Location At 655 Union Street In Gowanus, Brooklyn

NY Kids Club has signed a lease for 3,700 square feet of retail space at 655 Union Street, a mixed-use building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by L+Z Architecture and developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the 13-story building yields 193 units and 14,800 square feet of retail space, the latter of which is now more than 50 percent leased. NY Kids Club’s new flagship location will open in September 2025.

Remodeling and Expansion Project Nears Completion at 501 President Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Remodeling and expansion work is nearing completion on 501 President Street, a four-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Opera Studio Architecture for E. Krutoy, the project involved the vertical expansion of a 125-year-old three-story building that formerly measured 2,400 square feet. The revamped building will yield three rental units. The property is located between 3rd Avenue and Nevins Street.

Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Konstantin Gubareff of Prospect Developers II, the structure yields 132 residences. Residential Move-Ins Begin At 420 Carroll In Gowanus, Brooklyn

Residential move-ins have begun at 420 Carroll, a recently completed development located in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by The Domain Companies in collaboration with Cantor Fitzgerald, Silverstein Properties, and VOREA Group, the project consists of two interconnected towers standing 16 and 21 stories. The development yields 360 residential units, 90 of which have been designated as affordable housing for households earning between 40 and 100 percent of the area median income. The project is on track to receive either LEED Gold or Platinum certification.

499 President Street Nears Completion in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Construction nearing completion on 499 President Street, a ten-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Brodsky Organization and Avery Hall Investments, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 322,000 square feet and yield 262 rental units in studio to two-bedrooms layouts, with 88 homes designated for affordable housing, as well as 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The 1.6-acre property is bound by Union Street to the north, President Street to the south, and Nevins Street to the west.

Society Brooklyn and Sackett Place Wrap Up Construction in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on Society Brooklyn and Sackett Place, a pair of 21-story residential buildings at 267 Bond Street and 498 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Property Markets Group, the 225-foot-tall structures span 605,000 square feet and will yield 517 residential units, as well as 52,000 square feet of commercial space. Twenty-five percent of the apartments will be reserved for affordable housing. The property is bound by DeGraw Street to the north, Sackett Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Bond Street to the west.

Nevins Landing Two-Tower Development Rises at 310-340 Nevins Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Construction is rising on Nevins Landing, a two-tower residential development at 310-340 Nevins Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital, the project consists of the 22-story Nevins Landing North at 310 Nevins Street and the 17-story Nevins Landing South at 340 Nevins Street. The two buildings will span a combined 600,000 square feet and yield 654 rental units, with 25 percent reserved for affordable housing. The 2.3-acre project site is alternately addressed as 417 Carroll Street and located on a large rectangular parcel along the Gowanus Canal between Union and Carroll Streets.
