Construction has topped out on Maven, a 27-story mixed-use tower at 2413 Third Avenue in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by RXR Realty, the structure will yield 145,643 square feet with 200 rental units, including 60 rent-stabilized units for middle-income households, as well as a small retail volume on the ground floor and a parking garage equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.

New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has announced a request for proposals to construct a climate resilient, 100 percent affordable housing complex at 351 Powers Avenue in the South Bronx. Located between East 141st Street and East 143rd Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood, the site is an undeveloped, city-owned lot totaling approximately 17,400 square feet.

Betances Residence Completes Construction at 443 East 142nd Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx

Breaking Ground has completed construction on Betances Residence, a 152-unit affordable and supportive housing property at 443 East 142nd Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx. The development is Breaking Ground’s first Passive House-certified building and was completed in partnership with New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).

RXR Contributes $100k To Support Community Teaching Kitchen at 805 East 139th Street in the South Bronx

RXR has pledged to contribute $100,000 dollars toward the construction of a new community kitchen and educational space at 805 East 139th Street in Mott Haven, South Bronx. Led by East Side Housing Settlement, one of the oldest community-based non-profit organizations in The Bronx, the Community Teaching Kitchen will provide on-site training and certification programs for 50 students per year.

Thessalonica Court in Mott Haven, The Bronx has become the nation’s first affordable housing property to achieve both Enterprise Green Communities and the WELL Building Standard certifications. Working in collaboration, Enterprise and The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) debuted the joint certification program for affordable buildings in 2019 to encourage developers to build healthier buildings for the country’s most vulnerable populations.
