The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1079 Lafayette Avenue, a four-story residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Sander Weiss’s Brooklyn-based Gelu Durus Musica and developed by 1079 Lafayette Holdings LLC, the structure yields 22 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are seven units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $72,000 to $187,330.

Sutton Tower Wraps Up Construction at 430 East 58th Street in Sutton Place, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on Sutton Tower, a 67-story residential skyscraper at 430 East 58th Street in the Sutton Place section of Midtown East. Designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen and developed by Gamma Real Estate and JVP Management, the 850-foot-tall structure yields 121 units with sales and marketing led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. Stephen B. Jacobs Group is the architect of record and Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Sutton Place South and First Avenue.

Below-Grade Work Continues at 250-252 East 83rd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Excavation is progressing at 250-252 East 83rd Street, the site of a 31-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will yield 128 units with interiors designed by Lemay + Escobar, as well as ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Elijah Equities and JLL have revealed a pair of duplex penthouse office suites at 520 West 20th Street in Manhattan, following a major renovation and expansion of the former industrial building. Located on the western edge of Chelsea, the 100,000-square-foot property was transformed by Morris Adjmi Architects to suit gallery and enterprise commercial tenants.

Designed by Isay Weinfeld Architects, the structure will yield 25 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts with sales and marketing led by Bianca D’Alessio, Christian Haag, and Mia Calabrese of Nest Seekers and SERHANT. Prices range from $1.45 million to $5 million, while the four-bedroom penthouse price tag has yet to be announced. Pizzarotti is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, near the intersection of the West Village and the Meatpacking District.

Turken House’s Façade Takes Shape at 300 East 41st Street in Murray Hill, Manhattan

Designed by Perkins + Will and developed by non-profit The Turken Foundation, which assists Turkish students in earning scholarships and job opportunities in the United States, the 227-foot-tall structure will yield 80,000 square feet with 82 turnkey residences in single- and double-occupancy configurations. Fast Track Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 41st Street and Second Avenue, near the United Nations and Grand Central Terminal.

Port Chester Officials Approve 185-Unit Rental Property at 208-216 King Street in Westchester County

Local officials have approved proposals to construct a 185-unit rental building at 208-216 King Street in Port Chester, a village in Westchester County. Developed by Regency Port Chester JJV LLC, the property is the latest project set to break ground within the Port Chester Opportunity Zone, an area of the village where developers have access to special incentives meant to offset building and investment costs. The council handling the project includes Anthony B. Gioffre III of Cuddy & Feder LLP, and Bonnie VonOhlsen, AICP RLA, of Kimley-Horn Engineering and Landscape Architecture.

Demolition for New Rolex Headquarters Continues at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition is progressing on Rolex’s old 12-story International Style headquarters at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown to make way for a 25-story replacement. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects and developed by Rolex Realty Company, the new structure will feature a modern glass curtain wall and yield office and retail space for the iconic watchmaker. Titan Industrial SVC Corp. is the general contractor in charge of demolition at the property, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 53rd Street.
