Located at 81-9 134th Street in Briarwood, Queens, a new two-building residential project is being designed by Rawlings Architects PC and developed by The Musso Group. Citi Habitats is marketing the 104 units that will range in size from studios to one- and two-bedrooms, including some ground-floor duplexes that come with private entrances and outdoor space. The complex is divided into two buildings, with “The Noll” housing 54 units while “The Grove” will house the remaining 50 apartments.
Marvel Architects and Forman Group will again present proposals to New York City’s Landmark Preservation Commission in an effort to redevelop an existing two-story building for office and retail use at 29 Jay Street in Brooklyn. Located in the DUMBO Historic District, completion of “The Forman Building” would require zoning amendments to allow for a higher than approved street wall, mixed-use designation, and facade design.
Permits have been filed for a five-story religious facility at 4902 14th Avenue in Borough Park, Brooklyn. The synagogue will rise in the heart of the neighborhood’s Jewish community. The site is five blocks away from the 50th Street subway station, serviced by the D trains. Manuel Scharf of Scharf Group LLC will be responsible for the development.

The site is five blocks away from the Fordham train station, serviced by Metro-North, and eight blocks from the Fordham subway station, serviced by the D trains. Four blocks further is the 4 train. Construction of what may temporarily become the tallest skyscraper on the Upper West Side is poised to go vertical. As of yesterday, the building’s crane has arrived, and has been successfully installed for the soon-to-be 51-story 200 Amsterdam Avenue. Work has already reached the ground floor, with the foundation likely near completion. Concrete pouring for the first floor slab remains forthcoming. SJP Properties is responsible of the development.
