McCourt Global is the current owner of the property, which is situated between Brookfield PropertiesManhattan West complex and Related Companies‘ first phase of Hudson Yards, and bound by West 31st Street to the north, Dyer Avenue and West 30th Street to the south, and Tenth Avenue to the west.

On the heels of YIMBY’s reveal of official renderings for Project Commodore, a 1,646-foot supertall project at 175 Park Avenue in Midtown East, we’ve collected a number of illustrations that showcase Midtown’s future tallest structure’s impact on the New York skyline. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by RXR Realty and TF Cornerstone, the 83-story skyscraper is planned to rise from the site of the Grand Hyatt New York and yield 500 Hyatt hotel rooms on the upper floors spanning 453,000 square feet; 10,000 square feet of retail space on the ground and cellar levels; and 2.1 million square feet of office space.

Twin Supertalls Revealed as Part of Garden City, Possible Relocation of Madison Square Garden, in Midtown Manhattan

Community Board Five’s Land Use, Housing & Zoning Committee voted in a meeting on Wednesday to advance plans for a massive undertaking in Midtown involving the conversion of Madison Square Garden into a new concourse for Penn Station, and the creation of a new home for the sports facility between two supertall skyscrapers near Herald Square. Initially proposed in 2016 by Vishaan Chakrabarti, founder of Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU), new renderings give visual context to the plan, to which the city council agreed with the consideration of The Madison Square Garden Company’s acquisition of a shorter extension of its current lease.

Madison House Nears Completion at 126 Madison Avenue in NoMad

Exterior work is still wrapping up on Madison House, NoMad’s tallest residential skyscraper at 126 Madison Avenue. Alternately addressed as 15 East 30th Street, the 805-foot-tall, 62-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Fosun Group and JD Carlisle. Douglas Elliman is handling sales and marketing of its 199 condominiums. The project also includes 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
