Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a ten-story mixed-use building at 651 Fourth Avenue, in South Slope, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Prospect Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the D, N, R, and W trains. Across the street from the lot is the Al-Noor School, a private K-12 school of Islamic affiliations, serving 650 enrolled students. Greenwood Cemetery is also nearby, and Prospect Park is about a mile away.

Permits Filed For Triplet Lots, 909, 911, 913 Pierce Avenue, Morris Park, The Bronx

Permits have been filed for three mixed-use buildings at 909, 911, and 913 Pierce Avenue, in The Bronx’s Morris Park neighborhood. The lot is currently being used for parking. The location is a mile’s walk from the Bronx Park East Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Bronx-based Parubi Enterprises will be responsible for the development.

Renderings Revealed for 5 New Montrose Avenue, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

YIMBY reported on the permits for 5 New Montrose Avenue earlier this month. Now, Kushner Studios has provided us renderings for their design of the new synagogue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The project will yield 9,500 square feet dedicated to the community facility. The building will be 55 feet tall, replacing an abandoned single-story structure.

Permits Filed For 157 West 24th Street, Chelsea

Permits have been filed for a 19-story hotel to be built at 157 West 24^th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenue, in Chelsea. The site is less than a block from a Whole Foods grocery store and has easy access to subway stations along 23rd Street, including the F and M trains on Sixth Avenue, the 1 and 2 trains on Seventh Avenue, and on Eighth Avenue, the C and E trains. Jin Sup An’s 157 West 24^th Street Lodging LLC will be responsible for development.

Affordable Housing Project Excelsior II Nears Completion in Highbridge, The Bronx

Construction is wrapping on a nine-story affordable housing project, named Excelsior II, at 120 West 169^th Street, in The Bronx’s Highbridge. YIMBY covered the rendering reveal for this site in 2014, and the project is expected to be complete before the end of this month. Highbridge Community Development Corporation is responsible for the development, and the Briarwood Organization is handling general contracting.

Permits Filed For 83-68 117th Street, Kew Gardens, Queens

Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a six-story residential building at 83-68 117th Street, in Kew Gardens, Queens. The development will replace a single-story home of the Tudor Revival style built in 1899. The site is two blocks away from Forest Park, an expansive 165 acres of trees and recreational space. The 121^st Street Station is ten blocks away, serviced by the J and Z trains. The Long Island Railroad is also nearby, with the Kew Gardens train station serviced by eight different lines on the LIRR a twelve-block walk.

Plaxall Announces Major Plans to Rezone Long Island City’s Anable Basin Waterfront, Yielding Towers Up to 695′

The Queens waterfront has seen substantive improvements over the past decade, with construction on TF Cornerstone’s East Coast Long Island City complex wrapping in 2014, and additional work on Hunters Point South by both TFC and Related Companies progressing since. But to the north of those projects, the urban fabric along the East River and its tributaries has remained underutilized. That may not be the case for much longer, as plastics company Plaxall has submitted plans to create a new special district along Anable Basin. The proposal would result in skyscrapers up to 695′ in height, yielding new housing, hundreds of light industrial jobs, a multi-level public esplanade, and a new public school.

Permits Filed for 98 Front Street, 10-Story Residential Project Coming to Dumbo, Brooklyn

The first permits are up for a ten-story mixed-use building at 98 Front Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks from the York Street Subway Station, serviced by the F trains, and five blocks away from the High Street-Brooklyn Bridge Station, serviced by the A and C trains. This gives it quick access to Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn. Hope Street Capital will be responsible for development.

Permits Filed For 25-Story & 168-Room Hotel at 842 Sixth Avenue, Midtown

Filings have been submitted for a 25-story hotel at 842 6^th Avenue, in Midtown Manhattan, between 29^th Street and 30^th Street. Demolition permits have already been pulled for the existing seven-story building. The site is just a few blocks away from the Empire State Building, Penn Station, and Madison Square Park, and sits within the burgeoning Midtown South hotel corridor.

Permits Filed For 11-Story & 168-Unit 69-65 Yellowstone Boulevard, Forest Hills, Queens

Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 69-65 Yellowstone Boulevard, in Forest Hills, Queens. The site is just three blocks away from the Forest Hills 71^st Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the E, F, M, and R trains, which offer a twenty-minute commute into Manhattan. Flushing Meadows Corona Park is another few blocks past the subway, and is home to the Queens Museum, Zoo and Botanical Garden. Slate Property Group will be responsible for development.
