The prime blocks of the Upper East Side seldom see new developments, but renderings have now been revealed for the H.T.O. Architect-designed 27 East 79th Street. The project is the first new building to rise on its block in nearly forty years. The architect teamed up with the Parisian firm, Cabinet Albero Pinto, to create a structure fit for the neighborhood.

Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 83-05 116th Street, in Kew Gardens, Queens. The site is just under a mile away from the Union Turnpike-Kew Gardens Subway Station, serviced by the E and F trains. The 121st Street Subway Station is also three-quarters of a mile away, serviced by the J and Z trains. The largely residential neighborhood is enriched by its proximity to Forest Park, spanning over 538 acres, 165 acres of which is occupied by trees and trails.
Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building and garage at 43-65 157th Street, in East Flushing, Queens. The site is eleven blocks from the Murray Hill Train Station, serviced by the Port Washington line of the LIRR. The Main Street Subway Station, end of the line for the 7 trains, and its surrounding commercial hotspot is a ten minute drive by car. Yue Ying Zhang will be responsible for the development.
Renderings have been revealed for 1 Park Row, a new building rising in Manhattan’s Financial District, right across the street from City Hall Park. Permits filed in mid-October showed specifications for three floors of retail space, yielding a total 21,500 square feet. The project joins two others on the same block, at 1 Beekman Street and 23 Park Row.
YIMBY has the reveal for renderings of a new fitness center at the Windsor Park Co-Op Center, in Bayside, Queens. Permits were filed for the expansion last week. The project will service the roughly 5,000 residents living within the 46-acre community. Its nearest mass-transit is the LIRR train station at Queens Village, a ten-minute drive or fifteen-minute bus ride.
