Pace University Tower’s Foundations Take Shape at 15 Beekman Street in Financial District, Manhattan

Below-grade work is continuing at 15 Beekman Street, the site of a 27-story academic center and dormitory for Pace University in the Financial District. Designed by Manish Chadha of Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by SL Green Realty, the 338-foot-tall structure will yield 213,084 square feet of classrooms, dorm rooms, a dining facility, a library, and a learning center. The building will also have a cellar, sub-cellar, and a 20-foot-long rear yard. New Line Structures & Development LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Beekman and Nassau Streets and is alternatively addressed as 126-132 Nassau Street.

RAMSA’s 150 East 78th Street Nears Completion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is nearing completion on 150 East 78th Street, a 16-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects and developed by Midwood Investment & Development and EJS Group, the 205-foot-tall structure will yield 25 units in three- to five-bedroom layouts spread across 68,293 square feet, as well as 3,739 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Ismael Leyva Architects is the executive architect and residential layout designer and Compass Development Marketing Group is handling marketing and sales for the project, which is located at the corner of East 78th Street and Lexington Avenue.

Foundations Progress at 27-20 42nd Road, aka Project Athena, in Hunters Point, Queens

Foundation work is progressing at Project Athena LIC, at 27-20 42nd Road in the Hunter’s Point section of Long Island City, Queens. This will eventually give rise to a ground up eight-story mixed-use residential building designed by Ismael Leyva Architects. YIMBY last reported that the 99-foot-tall development will yield a total of 58,580 square feet, with 36,097 square feet designated for future residential space and 3,345 square feet for the commercial space. 51 residences are expected to be housed inside the edifice, which will most likely be rentals based on the average unit size of 707 square feet. The reinforced concrete-based structure will also come with a cellar and a 50-foot-long rear yard for occupants.


606 West 30th Street Climbs Above Podium Levels in Hudson Yards, Midtown

Construction is rising on 606 West 30th Street, a 42-story residential skyscraper in Hudson Yards. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 545-foot-tall structure will yield 312,350 square feet, with 192,780 square feet of residential space and 14,240 square feet of commercial space. Highbury Concrete is pouring the concrete and Hudson 37 LLC is listed as the general contractor for the project, which is also known as Tower B in a two-skyscraper development alongside FXCollaborative and Douglaston Development‘s topped-out 601 West 29th Street. The property is located between Eleventh Avenue and West Street, near the border with West Chelsea.

Construction is complete on 102 Charlton Street, a 21-story residential building in Hudson Square. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 210-foot-tall structure yields 59,323 square feet with 61 residential units in a mix of studios,  one- and two-bedroom layouts, and full-floor spreads. The property is located between Greenwich and Hudson Streets and is surrounded by a wave of new construction including headquarters for Disney and Google.
