New Renderings Of 41-Story Residential Tower At 303 East 44th Street, Midtown East

Last Spring, the New York Daily News brought us the first renderings of Triangle Assets’ 41-story, 44-unit residential building planned at 303 East 44th Street, in Midtown East. Now updated renderings have surfaced of the ODA Architecture-designed project. The tower will stand 600 feet in height and its residential units will measure from roughly 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. Units will also feature shared, but private, outdoor garden spaces. Completion is expected in 2017, according to The Real Deal.

In the middle of 2014, Macklowe Properties closed on an assemblage on the corner of 59th Street and Third Avenue for $100 million, acquiring it from SL Green. Now, with the former structures demolished, YIMBY can reveal the first renderings of the site’s future occupant, designed by CetraRuddy, which will stand 35 stories and 490 feet tall.

40-Story Morris Adjmi-Designed Tower Revealed at 30 East 31st Street in Midtown

Back in February, YIMBY reported on the first new building applications for a tower coming to 30 East 31st Street, in Midtown Manhattan. And now, we have the reveal, thanks to a tipster’s submission of an on-site rendering. The project is being designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, while Ekstein Development is the developer.

Permits Filed: 22-Story Apartment Building at 232 East 54th Street, Midtown East

Two turn-of-the-century apartment buildings at 230 and 232 East 54th Street may bite the dust for a 22-story residential project. New building applications were filed yesterday to erect a 237-foot-tall building at 232 East 54th Street, between Second and Third Avenues in Midtown East.

New Renderings, Update On 63-Story, 93-Unit Residential Tower At 100 East 53rd Street, Midtown East

In the beginning of last spring, YIMBY brought you a construction update on 610 Lexington Avenue/100 East 53rd Street, a planned 63-story, 94-unit residential tower, which at the time, was only two stories above street level. Dezeen now has fresh renderings of the project, which YIMBY can accompany with the latest photos from YIMBY reader ILNY. The bulk of the tower has been constructed, and glass façade is now being installed on the lower levels. RXR Realty is developing with Hines and Foster + Partners is designing, while SLCE Architects is serving as the architect of record. Completion is expected in 2017.

Developer Acquires Assemblage At 143 East 60th Street, Plans Residential Tower With Retail, Midtown East

Back in June, Kuafu Properties was in contract to purchase the assemblage spanning 143-161 East 60th Street, on the northern edge of Midtown East, and now the Chinese developer has closed on the acquisition, according to Commercial Observer. The site has a nearly 20,000 square-foot footprint, and roughly 280,000 square feet of development potential. Kuafu plans to build a luxury residential tower with a large retail base, although the existing six low-rise buildings must first be demolished.

Nine stories of condos may replace a little brick walkup on the corner of Second Avenue and East 45th Street. Architect Karl Fischer filed applications earlier today for a 100-foot-tall building at 843 Second Avenue.

New Renderings Show Fresh Views of One Vanderbilt

SL Green’s planned tower next to Grand Central is making significant headway, and demolition for the site’s former buildings is already ongoing. And while we had previously revealed several prospective views of the 1,500-foot supertall, which was approved by the City Council this past May, a tipster has sent along a few more renderings, giving a more comprehensive overview of the tower within the context of its Midtown surrounds.

65-Story, 268-Unit Residential Tower At 252 East 57th Street Tops Out, Midtown East

Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed new renderings of World Wide Group’s and Rose Associates’ 65-story residential tower underway at 252 East 57th Street, in Midtown East, and now the tower has topped-out. The building will include 268 units, split between 93 condominiums and 175 apartments, and amenities include a porte cochére, a 34th-floor terrace and a 75-foot-long pool and spa. Retail will be included on the ground and second floors. SOM is the design architect, while SLCE Architects is serving as architect of record. Occupancy is expected in late 2016.

Development Site At 677-685 Lexington Avenue Hits The Market, Midtown East

Meringoff Properties and the Riese Organization are placing the low-rise commercial properties spanning 677-685 Lexington Avenue on the market, according to The Wall Street Journal. The assemblage, in Midtown East at East 56th Street, boasts roughly 115,000 square feet, and is primed for a residential or hotel development. Eastern Consolidated is marketing the properties, which include a two-story corner building and five-story commercial structure, whose leases expire shortly.
