Exterior work is progressing on Luma, a six-story residential building at 10-39 49th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio and developed by Yong Chen, the 65-foot-tall structure will yield 35 condominium units with an average scope of 685 square feet. The project will also include 13 open parking spaces and six enclosed parking spaces, according to permits filed last December. The property is located between Jackson Avenue and Vernon Boulevard.

Gotham Pickleball Set To Open New Facility At 52-37 Second Street In Long Island City, Queens

Gotham Pickleball has signed a new lease at 52-37 Second Street in Long Island City, Queens. The ten-year agreement covers 26,000 square feet at the industrial waterfront property and represents Gotham Pickleball’s second New York City location, further expanding its footprint in Queens. Developer American Lions has secured $224.3 million in bridge financing for The Italic, a recently completed residential skyscraper at 26-32 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects, the 49-story tower yields 363 residential units, including 109 affordable apartments. JLL Capital Markets arranged the financing package for the development team, a joint venture between The Carlyle Group, Fetner Properties, and Lions Group. The property is located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Purves Street.

Designed by Archimaera and developed and built by ZD Jasper, the 262-foot-tall structure will span 192,500 square feet and yield 226 units along with lower-level commercial space. The property is located near the intersection of Vernon Boulevard and 46th Avenue.

Work Underway on 55-Story Skyscraper at 24–19 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

Below-grade work is progressing at 24–19 Jackson Avenue, the site of a 55-story residential skyscraper in the Court Square section of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Tavros Capital and Charney Companies in partnership with Incoco Capital, the 676-foot-tall structure is slated to yield 600 apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The 18,000-square-foot property is bound by 45th Avenue to the north, Jackson Avenue to the southeast, and 23rd Street to the west.

Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Grubb Properties, the 311-foot-tall structure yields 417 rental units in studio- to two-bedroom layouts, with 126 designated as affordable housing. The project also includes 7,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The property is located between Crescent and 27th Streets, directly adjacent to the elevated Queensboro Plaza station served by the 7, N, and W trains.
