Construction is about to go vertical at 24-19 Jackson Avenue, a 55-story residential skyscraper in the Court Square section of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital in partnership with Incoco Capital, the 676-foot-tall structure will yield 600 apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The 18,000-square-foot property is bounded by 45th Avenue to the north, Jackson Avenue to the southeast, and 23rd Street to the west.

The 18th-tallest building on our year-end construction countdown is 24–19 Jackson Avenue, a 676-foot-tall residential skyscraper in the Court Square section of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Tavros Capital and Charney Companies in partnership with Incoco Capital, the 55-story structure will yield 600 apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The 18,000-square-foot property is bounded by 45th Avenue to the north, Jackson Avenue to the southeast, and 23rd Street to the west.

8 Court Square Completes Construction in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is is complete on 8 Court Square, a 20-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Rose Associates and Werwaiss Properties under the 25-34 Jackson Avenue Property Owner LLC, the 224-foot-tall structure yields 157 rental units in one- to two-bedroom layouts with an average scope of 684 square feet, as well as 10,170 square feet of retail space. Forty-eight of the apartments will be reserved for affordable housing. Cauldwell Wingate served as the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 27-10 44th Drive and is bound by 44th Drive to the northeast, Jackson Avenue to the northwest, and Thomson Avenue to the west and south.

The Bold Nears Completion At 27-01 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is finishing up on 27-01 Jackson Avenue, a 27-story residential tower in the Court Square district of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by American Lions, a joint venture between Fetner Properties and Lions Group, the 151,141-square-foot structure will yield 164 rental units with one-third reserved for affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space and approximately 90 parking spaces on the first three levels. The property is located at the corner of Jackson and 43rd Avenues, directly across from The Italic, its taller sibling at 26-32 Jackson Avenue.

8 Court Square Wraps Up Construction In Long Island City, Queens

Construction is wrapping up on 8 Court Square, a 20-story residential building at 27-10 44th Drive in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by 25-34 Jackson Avenue Property Owner LLC, the 224-foot-tall structure will yield 157 rental units spread across 107,377 square feet with 48 reserved for affordable housing, and 10,170 square feet of retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 27-10 44th Drive and bound by 44th Drive to the northeast, Jackson Avenue to the northwest, and Thomson Avenue to the west and south. Whitehall Interiors is the interior designer for the project.

Foundations are taking shape at 27-48 Jackson Avenue, site of a 69-story residential skyscraper in Long Island City‘s Court Square district. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Building Orchard LLC, the 811-foot-tall tower will claim the title of tallest building in Queens and yield 635,000 square feet with 818 residential units, 11,700 square feet of retail space, and a two-story parking garage in the podium. Triton Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 43-01 Queens Street and occupies a full city block along Jackson Avenue between Queens and Orchard Streets.

Foundations Underway at 45-19 Davis Street in Long Island City, Queens

Foundation work has begun at 45-19 Davis Street, the site of a 21-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Jon Yung of MY Architect PC and developed by Tom Wu under Davis Street Development LLC, the 229-foot-tall structure will yield 62,001 square feet with 82 units averaging 750 square feet, as well as 489 square feet of commercial space. Warner Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior plot bound by Pearson Street to the northeast, Jackson Avenue to the northwest, and Davis Street to the southwest.

27-01 Jackson Avenue’s Glass Curtain Wall Begins Installation in Long Island City, Queens

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Fetner Properties and Lions Group, the 151,000-square-foot structure will yield 164 rental units with one-third reserved for affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space and approximately 90 parking spaces on the first three levels. Lions Group II, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Jackson and 43rd Avenues.

Designed by MY Architect PC and developed by Thomson Development, the 116-foot-tall structure will yield 30 units spread across 23,012 square feet, as well as 5,039 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Warner Construction Services was the general contractor for the project, which is located on trapezoidal plot bound by Thomson Avenue and 44th Drive.
