A joint venture has closed on financing for the construction of 570 Eldert Lane, a 213-unit affordable housing development located in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. The team, which is a collaboration between Slate Property Group, Thorobird Companies LLC, and Bangladeshi American Community Development & Youth Services (BACDYS), will demolish the existing parking lot on the site to make way for the new property. The project has been designed by Urban Quotient. The site is located between Glenmore and Pitkin Avenues.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was recently held to mark the opening of 2886 Atlantic Avenue, a ten-story affordable housing development in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Designed by JFA Architects & Engineers and developed by Camber Property Group, the nearly 128,000-square-foot structure yields 182 deeply affordable units. The project also includes 5,200 square feet of commercial space and a 56-vehicle parking facility. The New York City Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Institute for Community Living (ICL) will operate and manage the property, which is bounded by Atlantic Avenue to the north, Jerome Street to the east, and Barbey Street to the west.

Designed by Nikolai Katz Architect and developed by Yisroel Greenfeld, the structure yields 51 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 40 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $51,018 to $160,720.
Construction is complete on Shepherd Glenmore, a seven-story affordable and supportive housing development at 365 Shepherd Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Designed by MHG Architects and developed by Housing Plus and Spatial Equity, the $61 million project yields 123 affordable apartments, including 74 units with supportive services for people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. The property is located between Liberty and Glenmore Avenues.
