NYC Parks and the Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park have opened applications for the 2026 Art in the Parks grant, which will fund two site-specific public art installations at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Now in its seventh year, the program will award $10,000 to each of two New York City-based artists to create sculptures tailored to designated locations throughout the park. Proposals are due by April 5, 2026, with selected works scheduled for installation in October 2026.

The affordable housing lottery recently launched for Phase1A of Innovative Urban Village at 30 Inspiration Lane in East New York, Brooklyn. Designed by Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU) and SLCE Architects and developed in a joint venture between the Christian Cultural Center, Gotham Organization, and Monadnock Development, the $270 million master plan calls for affordable and supportive housing across 10.5 acres on the campus of the Christian Cultural Center.

HELP Women’s Center Opens At 114 Snediker Avenue In East New York, Brooklyn

HELP USA, Camber Property Group, and the New York City Department of Social Services have opened HELP Women’s Center at 114 Snediker Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. The five-story, 60,000-square-foot facility will begin operations on March 30, serving as a 200-bed intake and assessment center for women entering the shelter system. The project was developed by Camber Property Group, built by Fifth Avenue Builders in partnership with Urban Atelier Group, and designed by Curtis + Ginsberg Architects in collaboration with HELP USA.
