Renderings Reveal Barclays Center Renovations In Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

New renderings have been revealed for the third phase of renovations to Barclays Center in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Populous for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, the $150 million project will modernize portions of the concourse, add new club areas, and overhaul the facility’s broadcast and production equipment. The arena is bounded by Atlantic Avenue to the north, Dean Street to the south, 6th Avenue to the east, and Flatbush Avenue to the west.

Excavation Underway For Nightingale-Bamford Athletics Facility At 167 East 108th Street in East Harlem, Manhattan

Excavation has begun at 167 East 108th Street, the site of the Nightingale-Bramford athletics facility in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by STUDIOS Architecture, the 64,000-square-foot structure will feature an indoor turf field, two gymnasiums, a dance studio, strength and conditioning spaces, team rooms, and flexible multipurpose areas. Zubatkin Owner Representation is the project manager for the property, which is located between Lexington and Third Avenues.

Construction is rising on Etihad Park, the home stadium for Major League Soccer’s New York City Football Club (NYCFC) at 126–87 Willets Point Boulevard in Willets Point, Queens. Designed by HOK, the 24,851-seat venue will stand as the centerpiece of a 23-acre redevelopment plan along with a new 650-seat public school, a hotel, and more than 150,000 square feet of public open space. The facility will also be the first fully electric stadium in New York City and in MLS history. The project site is bounded by 127th Street to the northeast, 35th Avenue to the northwest, Willets Point Boulevard to the southeast, and Seaver Way and Citi Field to the southwest.

CityPickle To Open New Flagship Facility At 1501 Broadway In Times Square, Manhattan

CityPickle is set to open a new flagship location at 1501 Broadway in Times Square, Manhattan, marking its first year-round indoor pickleball club in the borough. The facility will occupy over 37,000 square feet on the eighth floor of the historic Paramount Building, with plans to open in fall 2025. Developed in partnership with architecture firm Sentient Design Works, the project will serve as both the company’s headquarters and its largest venue to date. The property is located between West 43rd and 44th Streets.
