The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) recently approved the construction of a three-story infill and addition at 56 North Moore Street in the Tribeca West Historic District. The building will eventually debut as a modern office space with multiple outdoor terraces set above the historic masonry façade.
Work is progressing swiftly on TF Cornerstone‘s two-tower Hunters Point South development in Hunters Point, Queens. Construction recently topped out on 52-41 Center Boulevard, a 46-story, 475-foot-tall residential building, the shorter of the two structures. The taller, 587-foot-tall sibling is rising just to the north at 52-03 Center Boulevard and will eventually top out at 56 stories. Both are designed by ODA Architecture with SLCE Architects as the architect of record.
Sales have launched for One Prospect Park West, a residential development designed by Workstead in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Douglas Elliman’s Development Marketing team is exclusively handling the sales for available units, which begin at nearly $2.4 million for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home.
Full demolition permits have been filed for 686 Lexington Avenue and 126 East 57th Street in Midtown East. According to the filings, the two abuting sites are owned by MRR Development, a partnership between Rotem Rosen, Anand Mahindra, and Zahi Hagag. Under the MRR 1326 LLC, the firm also owns the vacant land on the northwest corner of East 56th Street and Lexington Avenue. 126 East 57th Street is a five-story mixed-use building built in 1920 on a 1,665-square-foot lot with six residential units and two commercial units on the ground floor and 686 Lexington Avenue is a five-story office building built in 1922 on a 3,000-square-foot lot.
Exterior work is wrapping up on 98 Front Street, a ten-story residential building in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by ODA, the reinforced concrete structure features the firm’s signature irregular cubic massing and will contain condominiums with 100 distinct layouts. Hope Street Capital is in charge of sales for the units, which range from studios to four-bedroom homes and start at $670,000.
