Harlem Biospace will open its second biotech incubator space in the Mink Building, a historic commercial property at 1361 Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattanville. The new facility will provide 10,250 square feet of affordable laboratory space for early-stage small- and mid-sized life science companies.
Foundation work is progressing at 600 West 125th Street, the site of a 34-story tower on Columbia University‘s Manhattanville campus. Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop with CetraRuddy Architecture as the executive architect and developed by the Trustees of Columbia University, the 391-foot-tall structure will yield 175,000 square feet with 141,565 square feet of community facility space, 5,000 square feet of commercial space, and 142 residences for graduate students and faculty. Pavarini Govern is the general contractor and LERA is the structural engineer for the property, which is located at the corner of West 125th Street and Broadway, adjacent to the elevated 125th Street 1 train station. Thornton Tomasetti is serving as the facade consultant.

Located between West 129th Street and West 133rd Street, the lot is within walking distance of 125th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Yiannes Einhorn of Grid Group under the Built By Grid LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Renderings from NDKazalas Architecture have revealed a new eight-story residential building at 521 West 134th Street in Manhattan’s West Harlem neighborhood. From Haussmann Development, the building will eventually create 28 rental units spread across 19,000 square feet.
Construction is nearing completion on the Taystee Lab Building, an 11-story mixed-use project at 450 West 126th Street in the Manhattanville section of West Harlem. Designed by LEVENBETTS and SLCE Architects and developed by Janus Property Group, the 350,000-square-foot building will yield Class A office space and state-of-the-art lab facilities, as well as space for organizations devoted to life sciences, technology, academic and non-profit programs, retail, and the arts. The property gets its name from the Taystee Cake Bakery Factory, which formerly stood on the site. BR+A Consulting Engineers is helping to construct the structure and LendLease is serving as construction manager.
