Fifth Avenue Hotel Progresses at 1 West 28th Street in NoMad, Manhattan

Façade work is continuing to progress on The Fifth Avenue Hotel at 250 Fifth Avenue in NoMad. Designed by Perkins Eastman, PBDW Architects, and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and developed by Flaneur Hospitality, the project involves the construction of a 230-foot-tall, 24-story reinforced concrete tower and the renovation and hotel conversion of a 116-year-old McKim, Mead & White-designed building. CNY Group is the general contractor for the project, which is being built at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 28th Street.

Rose Hill Wraps Up Construction at 30 East 29th Street in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is finishing up on Rose Hill, a 45-story residential skyscraper at 30 East 29th Street in Midtown‘s NoMad district. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Rockefeller Group, the 639-foot-tall Art Deco-inspired structure yields 123 condominiums marketed by CORE Real Estate. The one- to four-bedroom homes range in price from $1.385 million to $19.5 million for an upper penthouse. The property is located between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South, and stands on the site of the 130-acre Rose Hill Farm estate that once occupied this section on the island.

Excavation Begins for Madison House’s Retail Podium at 126 Madison Avenue in NoMad, Manhattan

Podium work is progressing for Madison House, an 805-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 126 Madison Avenue and the tallest structure in the Midtown district of NoMad. Alternately addressed as 15 East 30th Street, the 62-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Fosun Group and JD Carlisle and will yield 199 condominiums with sales and marketing led by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, as well as 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Madison House has a footprint stretching between East 30th and 31st Streets and Madison Avenue. Madison House is currently more than 50 percent sold with over $300 million in sales, and occupancy is expected to begin this winter.

Virgin Hotel Nears Completion at 1225 Broadway in NoMad, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on the Virgin Hotel, a 38-story tower at 1225 Broadway in NoMad. Designed by Stantec and developed by Lam Group, the 476-foot-tall, 300,000-square-foot structure will yield 460 hotel rooms managed by Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group. Flintlock Construction Systems, LLC is the general contractor for the building, which is bound by Broadway, West 29th Street, and West 30th Street.

7-9 East 30th Street’s Geometric Façade Revealed from Scaffolding in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is approaching the finish line on 7-9 East 30th Street, a 23-story residential building in NoMad. Designed by SWA Architecture and developed by Castellan Real Estate Partners, the 227-foot-tall structure will yield 54 residences spread across 41,992 square feet as well as 2,142 square feet of ground-level retail space. Titanium Construction Services is the general contractor for the building, which is located between Madison and Fifth Avenues.

Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences Nears Completion at 1185 Broadway in Nomad, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on the Ritz -Carlton Hotel and Residences, a 45-story skyscraper at 1185 Broadway in NoMad. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Marriott, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 580-foot-tall tower will yield 250 guest rooms spread across 150,000 square feet, as well as a collection of 16 one- and two-bedroom penthouse residences on the upper levels. Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street. The Erin Boisson Aries team at Christie’s International Real Estate is handling the sales of the penthouse residences.

Virgin Hotel’s Façade Wrapping Up at 1225 Broadway in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on the 476-foot-tall Virgin Hotel at 1225 Broadway in NoMad. Designed by Stantec and developed by Lam Group, the 38-story rectilinear tower will yield 300,000 square feet and 460 hotel rooms managed by Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group. The property sits on an angled trapezoidal plot bound by Broadway, West 29th Street, and West 30th Street. This will be the first Virgin Hotel establishment in New York City.

1245 Broadway’s Façade Nears Completion in NoMad, Midtown

Façade installation is nearing completion on 1245 Broadway, a 23-story office building in NoMad. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klövern AB, the 318-foot-tall building will yield 200,000 square feet of commercial space with leasing managed by CBRE. StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are in charge of constructing the Midtown, Manhattan project, which stands at the corner of West 31st Street and Broadway.

Sales have launched for the homes, which come in one- to four-bedroom layouts and range in price from $1.385 million to upward of $19.5 million for the penthouse unit. Rose Hill’s name is derived from the former 130-acre Rose Hill Farm estate that once occupied this part of Midtown, Manhattan. The property is situated between Madison Avenue to the west and Park Avenue South to the east.
