Designed by SWA Architecture and Efrain Perez, and developed by Castellan Real Estate Partners, the 23-story reinforced concrete edifice will yield 41,992 square feet with 54 residences and 2,142 square feet of ground-level retail space. YIMBY went on a tour of 30 East 31st Street, a 39-story residential tower nearing completion in NoMad. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Ekstein Development and Pinnacle Real Estate, the 479-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure yields 70,000 square feet and 42 units. Sales for the homes are being handled by Reuveni Real Estate and average 1,700 square feet. The most affordable unit is a two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home measuring 1,677 square feet for $2,375,000, and the most expensive is a three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom penthouse residence spanning 3,354 square feet for $9,995,000. 30 East 31st Street is located between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South.

1162 Broadway Nears Topping Out in NoMad, Manhattan

Construction is approaching topping out on 1162 Broadway, a 13-story commercial building in NoMad. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by 1162 Broadway LLC, the 185-foot-tall structure will yield Class A office space within the Madison Square North Historic District. Plans for the project were initially approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) in late spring of 2020. Permits filed in December 2013 originally called for a hotel under the ownership of Aini Assets rising 14 stories with 52 guest rooms, a ground-floor cafe, and a restaurant. On Star Management LLC is the general contractor for the address, which is located between West 27th and West 28th Streets.

Excavation Progresses for 262 Fifth Avenue Residential Supertall in NoMad, Manhattan

Excavation is continuing at 262 Fifth Avenue, the site of a proposed 1,043-foot residential supertall in NoMad and number eight on our year-end construction countdown. Designed by Russian-based firm Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project, LLC, the 60-story tower will yield 139,168 square feet of residential space divided into 41 residential units and 10,850 square feet of retail space on the first two floors. CM & Associates Construction Management, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.
