Union Crossing at 825 East 141st Street Nearing Opening Day Amidst Residential Boom in South Bronx

The South Bronx is undergoing a major urban transformation as developers are continuing to reshape the area with a mix of adaptive-reuse buildings and new residential construction. Union Crossing is a new mixed-use project that will combine contemporary commercial office space and retail opportunities for newcomers to the historic neighborhood. It is designed by Woods Bagot, while the developers include Madison Realty Capital, The Altmark Group, The Bluestone Group, and Galil Management. JRT Realty is the exclusive leasing agent for the venture.

Blackstone 360 Granted Approval to Develop Allure 260 Residences in East Orange, New Jersey

The City Council of East Orange, New Jersey has given Blackstone 360 the green light to construct a new residential development at 260 South Harrison Street. Known as “Allure 260,” the building will top-off at 18 stories and comprise 325,000 square feet, with 201 units situated within.

Located between Prospect Place and Park Place, the lot is six city blocks north of the Utica Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Under the SSJL 194 Buffalo LLC, Hagai Laniado is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Foundation Work Underway for Art Deco-Inspired 30 East 29th Street, in NoMad

Concrete pump trucks, mixers, and a rigging crane are working side by side along the northern perimeter of 30 East 29th Street. Located in NoMad, the upcoming Art Deco-inspired residential tower is being designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by the Rockefeller Group. The ground-up structure will rise 639 feet to its rooftop, and make a significant impact on the skyline when completed.

The Hudson Companies Reveals New Renderings of 350 Clarkson Avenue, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens

In a recent reveal, The Hudson Companies released updated renderings of a new, mixed-use residential project on the rise at 350 Clarkson Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture, the building’s 227,000 square feet will comprise 250 market-rate rentals, office space, ground floor retail, and a potential community facility.

Located between East 163rd and East 164th Streets, the interior site is about four blocks east of the Melrose Station on the Metro North. Less than a mile east from the venture is the Intervale Avenue subway statio,n serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Jacob Barak of Postgraduate Center for Mental Health is listed as the owner, and his organization provides mental healthcare services in New York City, with 16 buildings in their real estate portfolio.

Morris Adjmi’s Residential Tower at 30 East 31st Street Set for 2019 Completion, in NoMad

Rising above NoMad between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue, 30 East 31st Street is a new residential tower designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, and stands 40 stories to its rooftop. The crossed beams at the top of the building are a visual signature of the design, and will soon be enclosed in an exterior envelope of dark-colored waterproofing and glass. The project is being developed by Ekstein Development and Pinnacle Real Estate.

Camber Property Group Closes on $65 Million in Construction Financing for 100% Affordable Housing Project in Harlem

The development team behind Victory Plaza, a new 100% affordable senior housing project, has successfully closed on $65 million in construction financing to facilitate completion of the project. Located in Harlem at 11 West 118th Street, the building will eventually rise nine stories and comprise 136 rental homes. A total of 41 units will be reserved for the formerly homeless.

Permits are up for a ten-story residential building at 1771 Weeks Avenue, in Mount Hope, The Bronx. The site is two blocks away from the 174-175th street subway station, serviced by the D train. Stephen De Vardo, operating under an LLC, is responsible for the filings. Back in 2015, Lorenzo De Vardo filed for a ten-story, 18-unit development with a square footage of 19,512 square feet on the same lot.
