It was nearly two years ago that YIMBY showed you renderings of the 15-story building being developed by John Catsimatidis’ Red Apple Group at 180 Myrtle Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, dubbed the Margo. Since then the unit count has changed and the building is now nearly complete, with the façade in place, save for some work on the terraces. The realization of that latter fact comes courtesy of photos taken by our friend Tectonic.
As we have reported, the Landmarks Preservation Commission is in the process of dealing with the backlog of 95 items that have been on its calendar since before 2010, some for decades. That process took a big step forward Tuesday, with 30 sites remaining on the calendar as priorities for designation vote by the end of 2016. Five sites were removed from the calendar for lack of merit.
It was over two-and-a-half years ago that YIMBY told you of plans to convert a five-story warehouse at 510 West 22nd Street into an 10-story office building. Since then, the plan has changed to 11 stories and now, thanks to images on the architect’s website, we have a new look at what how the completed structure will appear.
