Earlier this week, we posted photos of work at 217 West 57th Street as viewed from the street level, and now we have a fresh set of overhead shots from reader Andrew McKeon, featuring both 220 Central Park South and 217 West 57th Street. And when comparing with the last set of similar shots from February, progress has been very significant.
Williamsburg’s ongoing development boom is stretching across all parts of the neighborhood, and includes everything from apartments to hotels and office buildings. But smaller infill is just as important in terms of rounding out the pedestrian realm, and now we have renderings of plans for an old warehouse at 120 North 6th Street, which Kenneth Park Architects will transform into both retail and office space.
Back in April of 2014, YIMBY reported on the first new building applications for the development site at 55 West 17th Street. And now, we have the first renderings for the project, which is being designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, and developed by Toll Brothers City Living.
Two weeks ago, YIMBY posted the first exteriors for the Robert A.M. Stern-designed revamp of One Wall Street, and now a new video for the project has appeared, featuring its developer Harry Macklowe, which comes with fresh renderings of what the project’s retail may look like.
Out of all the towers currently under construction in Manhattan, the most significantly relative to its surrounding neighborhood is likely 45 East 22nd Street. The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed building will eventually stand 777 feet tall, but it’s already poking above the local concrete jungle, and its sloped cantilever is also now obvious, per the latest from Tectonic.
