Revealed: KPF’s Design for The Collegiate School’s New 62nd Street Campus

At the end of 2014, YIMBY posted the first renderings for the Collegiate Campus’ expansion at 301 Freedom Place South, between West 61st and 62nd Streets in the new Riverside Center development, which was initially set to be designed by Gluck+. Since then, Kohn Pedersen Fox has replaced Gluck+ as the design architect, and we now have the first rendering of what the building will actually look like.

1865 Broadway Revealed, SOM-Designed Replacement of the American Bible Society

Back in early 2014, YIMBY featured a first look at speculative plans for the redevelopment of the American Bible Society. That concept fell through, but we followed up with a post that included a prospective design by architects Goldstein Hill & West. Now, Skidmore Owings & Merrill has been tapped to design the project, and thanks to a tipster’s submission of diagrams for the project, we were able to create renderings that are a close approximation of what the building will ultimately look like.

Revealed: 44 Kent Street, New Greenpoint Rental Development

Earlier this year, YIMBY found an on-site drawing for a new development coming to 44 Kent Street, in Greenpoint. The plans were originally created for Cayuga Capital, but the firm sold the property for $8,750,000 last year to an LLC. Now, we can reveal that Pinny and Moishe Loketch of the Loketch Group are the new developers, and the design has also seen major changes, with Nataliya Donskoy’s ND Architecture and Design taking over the project.

First Look At Options for Redevelopment of 550 Washington Street, Hudson Square

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that 550 Washington Street would soon traverse ULURP as its owners, Westbrook Partners and Atlas Capital Group, want to redevelop the existing building in exchange for air rights from the failing Pier 40, which would also be saved. And now YIMBY has the first look at massing diagrams of the proposed plans, which reflect both the as-of-right redevelopment option, as well as what the site would look like if the ULURP application is approved.
