1578 Lexington Avenue Rises Above Street Level in East Harlem, Manhattan

Construction is going vertical on 1578 Lexington Avenue, a 13-story medical office and community facility building in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects and developed by Slate Property Group and Evenhar Development Corporation, the structure will span 150,000 with facilities for Mount Sinai Health System programs. The new East Harlem Center operated by Children’s Aid will also occupy nearly 19,000 square feet across the lower levels, and a new home for Life Changers Church will sit on the ground floor and lower stories. The property is located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 101st Street.

Timbale Terrace Breaks Ground at 101 East 118th Street in East Harlem, Manhattan

Yesterday, Mayor Zohran Mamdani took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for Timbale Terrace, a 20-story all-affordable housing development at 101 East 118th Street in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Urban Architectural Initiatives (UAI) and developed in a joint venture between Mega Group Development, the Lantern Organization, and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the structure will yield 341 rental units, including 97 designated as supportive housing for the formerly homeless. The project will also include space for social services provided by Lantern Community Services, a fitness center, rooftop terraces, on-site parking for police vehicles, and 20,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The property is located along Park Avenue between East 118th and East 119th Streets.

NYCHA to Renovate Ten Affordable Developments In Central And East Harlem, Manhattan

New York City Housing Authority has closed on $453 million in financing to fund renovations across seven public housing developments in Central and East Harlem, Manhattan. Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) project will modernize 1,058 apartments in ten residential buildings serving more than 1,300 residents at Jackie Robinson Houses, 131 Saint Nicholas Avenue, Corsi Houses, Morris Park Senior Citizens Home, Taft Rehabs, UPACA 5, and UPACA 6. The development team includes Vaya Development, Ascendant Neighborhood Development, McCormack Baron Salazar, and L&M Development.
